소녀들의 기억은 일본군 위안부 피해자 할머니들이 1993년부터 미술 심리치료 과정에서 그려온 작품들을 선보이는 전시입니다. 유네스코 기록유산으로 등재된 이 그림들은 할머니들의 이야기를 고스란히 담아내고 있습니다. 전시는 어린 시절의 <고향>, 강제로 끌려가 위안소에서 겪은 <고통>, 그리고 오늘날 품고 있는 <바람>이라는 세 가지 주제로 구성됩니다.

tedo™는 이번 전시의 키 비주얼과 포스터 디자인, 그리고 다양한 디자인 베리에이션 작업을 진행했습니다. 할머니들을 상징하는 옐로우 컬러를 전반적인 비주얼의 핵심 요소로 활용했으며, 소녀들의 기억이라는 타이틀이 가진 맥락을 담아내기 위해 할머니들의 현재 모습을 전면에 배치했습니다. 역사적 기록과 개인의 이야기가 함께 결합된 전시의 특징을 시각적으로 재구성하여, 전시의 본질을 있는 그대로 전달하는 것에 목표를 두고 작업을 진행 했습니다.

Memories of the Girls is an exhibition showcasing artwork created by survivors of the Japanese military “comfort women” system during art therapy sessions that began in 1993. These paintings, now part of UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register, vividly portray the survivors’ stories and are organized into three themes: childhood memories, experiences in the comfort stations, and hopes for the future.

tedo™ developed the key visuals, posters, and various adaptations for the exhibition. Yellow, a color that symbolizes the survivors, served as a central visual element. To emphasize the meaning behind Memories of the Girls, the current faces of the survivors were prominently featured. By blending historical records with deeply personal narratives, tedo™ aimed to deliver the exhibition’s message with authenticity and emotional impact.
