<할머니의 내일 展>은 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해자라는 수식어로만 기억되던 할머니들의 삶을 조명하며, 피해자로서의 모습이 아닌 그들의 평범한 일상과 인간적인 면모를 보여주고자 하는 전시입니다. "할머니들도 평범하지 않은 아픔을 가지고 있을 뿐, 우리와 같은 평범한 사람이다."라는 문장을 모토로 삼아, 할머니들의 다채로운 삶과 일상을 담아냈습니다.

직접 만나 이야기를 나누어 본 할머니들은 각기 다른 취향과 성격, 그리고 고유한 매력을 지닌 평범한 한 사람이었습니다. 우리는 할머니 한 분 한 분의 모습을 온전히 보여주고 싶다는 생각으로 작업을 진행했습니다. 전시의 키 비주얼은 수요 집회나 인터뷰 속 모습이 아닌, 일상에서 촬영한 할머니들의 사진을 활용해 디자인했습니다. 또한, 할머니들이 행복한 일상을 꿈꾸며 그린 그림 속 들꽃을 모티브로 한 그래픽 요소를 제작하여 함께 활용했습니다.

The "Grandmothers’ Tomorrow" exhibition sheds light on the lives of women long remembered only as victims of the Japanese military’s “comfort women” system. The exhibition seeks to portray them not just as victims, but as individuals who have led everyday lives, guided by the message: "These grandmothers carry deep pain, but they are ordinary people just like us."

Through conversations, it became clear that each grandmother has her own personality, interests, and charm. Our goal was to reflect that reality. Rather than using images from protests or interviews, we designed the key visual with photos from their daily lives. We also created graphic elements inspired by the wildflowers found in their paintings, representing their quiet hope for peace and happiness.
